Five minutes with...

We are huge fans of Rachel Khoo, patisserie queen and super-stylish creator of Little Paris Kitchen. Turn's out she's a stationery fiend too, so we had a good natter!

How would you describe your personal style?

Simple but with a twist.

What's the best gift you've ever received? And the best you've given?

For Christmas this year my Mum scanned all the photos she had from my first ten years and made a book out of it. It was such fun flicking through all the photos from when I was kid.  Actually it turned out that I even had a Parisian fringe when I was a kid too. The best gift I've given so far was surprising a friend who lived abroad at their birthday dinner. I told them I wasn't coming and then just suddenly turned up (flew from Paris to Stockholm). More impressed with myself that I was able to keep the surprise a secret.

Where do you turn for inspiration in Paris and what do you miss about London?

I love to go to the food markets and often find inspiration from the produce in season, the colours and the smells. What I miss most about London is it's energy. Paris is pretty chilled out when it comes to a city.

What's your personal edit of Quill's stationery collection?

Rifle Paper Co's Recipe cardsfor any budding recipe writer (1); I don't travel without a notebook. They're essential for writing down any ideas that suddenly pop into my head (2);  Washi masking tape is a chic way of sticking bits into my notebook (3); These gold floral notecards - I am a little old-fashioned so sending a card beats an email any day (4).

Thanks Rachel! x
